The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announces the deferment of the conduct of the 18 July 2021 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) in 18 testing centers in selected regions until further notice.

The move is made in compliance with health protocols and implementation of strict community quarantines with the surge of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) cases.

The CSE-PPT is deferred in the following areas: Region I with testing centers in San Fernando City, La Union, and Vigan City; Region VI with testing centers in Bacolod City; Kalibo, Aklan; Iloilo City; Jordan, Guimaras; Roxas City; and San Jose, Antique; Region IX with testing centers in Zamboanga City; Pagadian City; Dipolog City; and Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay; Region XI with testing centers in Davao City; Tagum City; and Mati City; and Region XII with testing centers in Koronadal City; and General Santos City.

5 July 2021 - Government workers who have a talent for song writing may join the Civil Service Commission (CSC) National Song Writing Contest. The deadline for submission of entries is on 23 July 2021.

Job Orders and Contracts of Service may also join the contest, which is part of the upcoming 121st Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) celebration in September 2021.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) reminded government agencies to submit the collated 2020 Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) to the proper repository agency until 30 July.

Physical or electronic submission to the repository agencies is allowed for the 2020 SALNs, this according to CSC Resolution No. 2100339, circularized via Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2021, containing guidelines for the filing and submission of the SALN during exceptional circumstances.

Information and communications technology (ICT) professionals may apply for Electronic Data Processing Specialist Eligibility (EDPSE), which they may use in vying for permanent appointment to functionally related positions in government.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) grants the EDPSE to passers of the ICT Specialist Proficiency Examination or of training courses on Systems Analysis and Design and Computer Programming conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
