PictureThe Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. VIII held its “1st Partnership Summit on HR Reforms and Good Governance” on May 26, 2014 at the Visayas State University (VSU), Baybay City. The summit was participated by 225 various Heads of Agencies and highest HR Practitioners from NGAs, LGUs, GOCCs and SUCs in the Region.

CSCRO8 Regional Director Victoria F. Esber, Assistant Regional Director Rowin P. Riños together with Director II Rey Albert B. Uy and Director II Emmanuel L. Fuentes were the Resource Speakers for the said activity. Topics discussed were the Transformation thru Performance Governance System: The CSRO8 Experience, Launching of PRIME-HRM, Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS), and Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA).

The summit showcased agency’s best practices on organizational productivity like the SPMS from the Municipality of Palompon, Leyte, City Government of Calbayog, Visayas State University, and the Municipality of Gamay, Northern Samar followed. The memorandum signing of the Agreement of Cooperation among the CSRO VIII leaders with the aim of working together to ensure effective implementation of ARTA, SPMS and PRIME-HRM was highlighted among the leaders in Region VIII.

 

Moreover, an awarding ceremony was held to agencies which garnered “Excellent” ratings in the 2013 ARTA Report Card Survey: Home Development Mutual Fund- Tacloban Branch, Overseas Welfare Workers Administration- Tacloban, Social Security System-Calbayog Branch, NSO-Tacloban, and Land Bank of the Philippines Sogod Branch. 

The activity was capped with the awarding of the Citizen’s Satisfaction Center- Seal of Excellence Award (CSC-SEA) to the Land Bank of the Philippines-Borongan Branch. LBP- Borongan Branch thru its representative LBP Sogod Branch Manager Agnes T. Baldono received the P100, 000.00 cash award and glass wall mounted seal.
