NEW YEAR MESSAGE TO THE PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE
Chairperson ALICIA DELA ROSA-BALA
Civil Service Commission
As we step into a new year, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) thanks all civil servants for your resilience and continued commitment in serving the Filipino people despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, 2020 was a difficult year. The pandemic has hit our lives in different ways, but one thing remained the same across all of humanity: the strong, united will to survive this pandemic and turn the tide.
But merely surviving should not be the goal. We must take the time to contemplate on the lessons the pandemic has taught us and work together to come out of this crisis with a better way of doing things and a better self.
As we continue to fulfill our sworn duty, we need to temper our fears with a greater resolve to get our jobs done, knowing that many of our fellowmen are in dire need of our service. Let us make the most of this golden opportunity to make a difference during these critical times.
To all our frontliners and civil servants, I pray for the day when we can thank you personally, when you can see our uncovered smiles full of gratitude and give you a firm, warm handshake for a job well done.
On behalf of the entire CSC family, I wish each and every one a blessed and a bountiful new year!
