The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is organizing a job fair for individuals looking to pursue opportunities in the government.

In collaboration with JobStreet.com, CSC is set to host the Government Online Career Fair (GOCF) from 18 to 22 September 2023.

This event will create a virtual platform for government agencies and jobseekers to interact, share details regarding job openings and the associated prerequisites. Jobseekers may also file applications and submit the requirements to their selected agency online.

“We are inviting fresh graduates, first time jobseekers, and other interested applicants to participate in this year’s GOCF. Organized as part of the celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), this online job fair serves as a perfect venue for civil service eligibles from all over the country to apply for vacant positions in the government,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Agustin, Romblon officially signed the Deed of Donation for the parcel of land that will house the CSC Field Office Romblon.

The signing ceremony took place on 11 August 2023 at the CSC Central Office in Quezon City.

CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles and San Agustin Mayor Esteban SF. Madrona, Jr., together with CSC Commissioners Aileen Lizada and Ryan Acosta, CSC Regional Office IV Director IV Maria Leticia Reyna, and San Agustin Municipal Planning and Development Officer Concepcion Angela Quijano, led the ceremonial signing of the deed of donation for the 600sqm lot located in Barangay Poblacion, San Agustin, Romblon.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) invites government officials and employees to join the nationwide fun run and tree planting event on Sunday, 17 September 2023, to celebrate the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA).

In partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and its attached agencies, CSC will conduct a simultaneous Plant-Run across 16 regions nationwide to raise funds for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani. This program honors government workers who died in the line of duty through the provision of one-time financial assistance plus scholarship opportunities to their family members.

“We are inviting our 1.8 million civil servants to participate in this fun, exciting, and meaningful event. Aside from encouraging an active lifestyle and promoting environmental conservation, proceeds from this activity will also provide financial aid for the families of our fallen heroes, our exemplary public servants,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

A total of 345,293 examinees took the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) Professional and Subprofessional levels conducted by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on 20 August 2023.

Out of the 373,638 individuals who registered for the exam, 92.41% showed up in 95 testing centers nationwide comprised of 304,247 examinees for the CSE-Professional Level, and 41,046 examinees for the Subprofessional Level.

“We are delighted to share that we have just reached another milestone for the CSC with the remarkable increase in participants taking the CSE-PPT in just one calendar year. In 2023 alone, the CSC successfully conducted the CSE-PPT for a total of 726,900 participants. This number includes both the 381,607 candidates who took the exam in March and our exam takers this August," expressed CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued reminders for examinees of the upcoming Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on Sunday, 20 August 2023.

“We urge all exam takers to check CSC Examination Advisory No. 8, s. 2023 regarding the school assignment and important reminders to ensure the smooth flow of our exam on Sunday. They may also check their respective school assignments online thru the Online Notice of School Assignment or ONSA posted on the CSC website,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
