In a year-end message to civil servants, Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala highlighted the sacrifices of civil servants amid the pandemic and thanked them for their service.

She said that civil servants continued to face challenges this year. “Nananatili ang epekto ng pandemya habang patuloy na umaasa ang taumbayan sa ating serbisyo. Marami din ang sakripisyo ng serbisyo sibil—hindi natin makakalimutan ang lahat ng ating kasamahan, ang mga nag-alay ng buhay para sa bayan. Lahat tayo ay nakaranas ng pagkawala ng kasamahan sa trabaho, kapamilya, at kaibigan.”

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) urged government employees to be vigilant about their behavior as it reminded them on the stricter rules governing sexual harassment.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) launched the new Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, an oath that is regularly recited by civil servants during flag raising ceremonies.

The launch coincided with the Virtual Awards Rites of the 2020 or 2021 Outstanding Government Workers, which aired live on 15 November at 2 p.m. via the Radio Television Malacanang's Facebook page and the Civil Service Commission’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Absences of government workers due to COVID-19 vaccination may be considered as excused absence.

This is pursuant to the interim guidelines issued by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) through CSC Memorandum Circular No. 16, s. 2021 or the “Interim Guidelines on Absences of Government Officials and Employees Due to COVID-19 Vaccination and/or Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) of COVID-19 Vaccine”.

His leadership and response to the pandemic is unparalleled as he remained at the frontline along with the rest of PGH’s Crisis Team in protecting the welfare of medical and non-medical staff, delivering the highest level of service to reassure the public of the hospital’s unwavering commitment to quality care, and increasing public confidence in vaccines.
