Dear CS Admin,

Regarding the provision on the Joint Circular 01 s 2017, particularly on the payment of service of individuals hired through contract of service which states that they "shall be paid the prevailing market rates, subject to the provisions of RA 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations", may I know if this would mean that the wages of contract of service worker with position title similar to plantilla position i.e. Administrative Officer I should be equivalent to the wage set by the industries or DOLE and not the rate parallel to Salary Standardization Law?

Thanks.

Good day.

Regarding your query, we advice that you course the same to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) as matters pertaining to salaries and the Salary Standardization Law can be best addressed by said office.
