Article III Section 5. No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. No religious test shall be required for the exercise of civil or political rights. - Philippine Constitution

If the agency I am currently employed with conducts Family Day, Team Building Activities and other similar extra curricular activities on the day of my Sabbath, which means a rest/cessation from worldly cares for most Seventh-day Adventists, can the employee be excused from those activities? Also, will there be a legal implication of an employee not joining those activities, especially is the said staff delivers his/her functions well according to his/her IPCR?

If the Head of Agency compels the employee to join/participate in the Team Building or Family Day Activities, setting aside the employee's right to exercise religion, can he or she complain the said Head of Agency?

As you said, under the Constitution, the free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. With regard to your query, there will be no legal implication on your part if you prefer not to join the Family Day or Team Building Activity of the agency because there is a valid justification for not joining said activities. As you mentioned, if said activities fall on day of Sabbath which is your rest/cessation day as Seventh Day Adventist, it may be a valid excuse as you are merely exercising your Constitutional right to freedom of religion.
