Greetings!

I hold an Administrative Assistant II position in an agency and was hired only last November 2018.

Last year 2019, I as designated, via Special Order, to be the staff-in-charge of the accounting section and assigned with the responsibilities of an Accountant III because our Accountant III availed of her maternity leave. The thing is:

1. I am NOT a Certified Public Accountant; and
2. I have NO relevant experiences (-never had I have experiences) in accounting jobs, although I am an accountancy graduate.

My salary has not changed (SG 8), but I don’t care. What I care about is that my performance ratings went rock-bottom. I felt depressed of thinking I am very incompetent for a job I am not specialised for. I am so stressed.

In addition, even though our accountant already came back earlier 4th quarter 2019, they still assigned me her job up to this time being.

Do we have guidelines on this matter? Thank you for your help.
