How is the salary and allowances (i.e. hazard pay, laundry, PERA, subsistence) of a new hire computed in his/her first month assuming all of the following:

Assume January 2021 as the subject month.
Number of working days for the month: 20 days
Days the employee reported for work: 2 days (the last 2 working days of the month)
The employee is holding a permanent plantilla position, the appointment is original in nature.
Dates of appointment and assumption of duty are on the employee's first day of reporting for work. (January 28, 2021)
Salaries are paid twice in a month every 10th and 25th.

Thank you.

Good day!

Considering that your inquiry refers to compensation and allowances, we advise that the query be directed to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) as it is the agency primarily involved with the compensation plan of government employees.

Thank you.
