Concerned Public Servant created the topic: co terminus appointment to the appointing authority
Question? a Private Secretary holds a coterminous appointment to the appointing authority. Just recently, the said appointing authority was dismissed from the service by the denial of his motion for reconsideration. The question is: does the private secretary who holds a coterminous appointment to the appointing authority still hold her position?

The said private secretary still reports for duty but is not functioning as to her position.

The term of office of the private secretary, coterminous with the appointing authority, ended when the term of office of the appointing authority ended. However, he/she may continue in the service if he/she was appointed to another position. Thanks.
