One of the applicants to a vacant position at our agency submitted their PDS through email. Based on the date written at the lower end of each page, the PDS was accomplished more than a year ago. Should this applicant be excluded from the selection process on account of their outdated PDS?

Edit: So far we have also received several improperly filled Personal Data Sheets (did not follow the proper MM/DD/YYYY date format, no dates indicated at the end of each sheet, no printed name or signature in the passport-sized photo provided, no signature from the person administering oath, etc.) from other applicants. Should these be considered minor issues and should these applicants be included in the selection process?

Action Officer 21 replied the topic: Submission of an outdated PDS
Hi Jack 27,

As a matter of policy, this Office refrains from rendering categorical opinion on matters and issues that may later on be the subject of an administrative proceeding before the Commission either via an appeal or a complaint. This is to preclude the possibility of prejudgment should an actual administrative case be commenced or instituted based on the said matters or issues.

Be that as it may, please be advised that the rules require for an updated and completely and properly accomplished PDS only in the preparation of appointments, pursuant to Rule III of the 2017 ORAOHRA. Nevertheless, it is advised to refer your query to the human resource officer of your office or agency as regards to the requirements in the selection process therein pursuant to your office or agency MSP.

Moreover, the human resource office of your office/agency may require interested applicants for appointments to submit properly, clearly, and legibly accomplished dated PDS to assist the office/agency HRMPSB in the proper assessment and screening of applicants.
