Question seminars and trainings on day off

I would like to inquire about this new policy of our government hospital that when we have been scheduled for training or seminars (Special Order) on the date of our day-off, we are not allowed to re-schedule the said day off to another day and the schedule would be as is. For example, the hospital had assigned me to attend an 8 hour seminar today but unfortunately, today is also my day off. They told me that I have to attend the seminar but they will not allow me to reschedule my day off in another day and will still consider this day as my day off too.

I was told before that when you have any seminars or training scheduled on your day off, they will re-schedule your day off in another day to give way to the said training or seminar except if the seminar is less than 8 hours in duration. Please shed a light regarding this matter. Thank you very much!

Please be informed that as a matter of policy, the Commission does not render opinions or rulings on issues that may be the subject of a complaint or appeal before it. This is so especially when there are material facts necessary to the judicious adjudication of the issues which are not fully represented or substantiated as in this case.

Nonetheless, if that is the new policy being implemented in the government hospital you are employed with, then it is necessary for you to comply with said directive.
