Good day!

This is my case. Last 2016, my appointment was disapproved due to lack of experience even if I already had more than 2 yrs supervisory experience in the corporate world. I submitted my first appeal to cscfo and just this week(after almost 2 yrs working in the govt) i got the decision from that case stating that My appointment is still disapproved due to the same reason, experience is not functionally related to the pdf of the position.

I would like to submit an appeal again addressed to csc central office this time. My questions is, since ive worked in the govt(while i waited for the decision) and was given functions related to the position i applied for (for almost 2 yrs), can i then include that experience in my appeal? Will csc give credit to the experience ive renders in my 2 yrs in the govt or will csc just look at my corporate experience and not give value to my acquired experience in the govt for 2 yrs?

Yes. You state your acquired work experience in your Appeal. All the attached documents submitted on Appeal are evaluated accordingly.

Hi,

The CSC will look at the merits of your qualifications before your govt stint. yes, you may include your exp in the govt in your appeal but they will focus on your qualifications before you enter the govt to establish that your are qualified and competent to the position.

Sir,

As to your comment, we submit for your reference Item 1, Part I (General Policies), CSC MC No. 12, s. 2003 (Revised Policies on Qualification Standards) which reads, as follows:

"1. Qualification Standards are the minimum and basic requirements for positions in the government. These shall serve as the basic guide in the selection of personnel and in the evaluation of appointments to all positions in the government."

Thank you.
