We have aloan with brgy capt which has 15% monthly interest we were able to pay the monthly interest and due to some circumstances we asked her if we can pay the principal alone and stop incurring interest but she said "ano kayo sinuswerte"...since we were not able to pay now even the interest...we always asked her if we can pay for some portion of the interest for example only 5thou.sheis now harassing us for the full payment using her position and brgy mobile going to our house even at midnight just to collect from us.she will text or call us as early as 5am...she even told us that she will use her power to put us in jail...it was so depressing that we can no longger tolerate all her actions she even go to my aunt store in cemetry last Nov and saying humilating worfs in front of many people.May cousins who were minors were force to call us to collect from us...since she is.the brgy capt where are we going to file complaint...hope somebody would help us.

Hi,

Complaints for alleged administrative offenses against barangay captains may be lodged before the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). However, if the nature of the complaint is criminal or the act complained of is a violation of RA 3019 (Anti graft and corrupt practices act) or RA 6713 (Code of conduct and ethical standards for public officials and employees) the same may be filed before the Office of the Ombudsman.
