Question Resignation and PBB

May I inquire on the following:

1.If an employee about to resign or have resigned be entitled to Performance Based Bonus considering that the rating and accomplishments subjected to 2018 PBB was from 2017 performance? If he or she is already a resigned employee on the day of the release of PBB, will he/she be able to receive it? If he/she has a pending resignation on the release of PBB, will he/she receive it?

2. If an employee tendered a resignation before the release of the midyear bonus, will the employee still receive it?

Please be informed that as a matter of policy, the Commission does not render opinions or rulings on issues that may be the subject of a complaint or appeal before it. This is so especially when there are material facts necessary to the judicious adjudication of the issues which are not fully represented or substantiated as in this case.

Nonetheless, we suggest that you seek the opinion of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) as it is the proper and competent government agency authorized to implement the law that authorizes the grant of Performance Based Bonus (PBB) and Mid-Year Bonus to national and local government.
