In line with the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) which was approved by the President extending the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) of the National Capital Region (NCR) and its surrounding provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal (also known as NCR Plus) from 1-14 May 2021, and the City of Santiago, Quirino and Abra from 1-31 May 2021, CSC Central Office, CSC National Capital Region, Regional Office IV Headquarters and Field Offices in Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal shall continue to observe the work from home arrangement (WFH) until 14 May 2021. CSC Field Offices in Quirino and Abra shall also continue to adopt the WFH until 31 May 2021. 

Government employees who misrepresent education, experience, training, and eligibility qualifications to qualify for a particular position will be charged with serious dishonesty.

This was stressed by the Civil Service Commission as it issued Resolution No. 2100079 or the Revised Rules on the Administrative Offense of Dishonesty. The new resolution aims to further clarify and define the parameters of the classifications of dishonesty in order to aid disciplining authorities in charging the proper offense.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has come out with rules and procedures for the availment of maternity leave, paternity leave, adoption leave, and other leave privileges for civil servants.

CSC Resolution No. 2100020 amended the Omnibus Rules on Leave (CSC Memorandum Circular No. 41, s. 1998, as amended) to align its provisions with Republic Act No. 11210 or the “105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law” and its implementing rules and regulations.

CSC Field Offices in Quirino and Abra shall also adopt the WFH on said dates.

Nominations to the 2021 Search for Outstanding Government Workers will be accepted until 30 April 2021 as the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has extended the deadline for another month.

The CSC said that to protect both its Regional/Field Offices and the agencies under their jurisdiction from the risk of COVID-19 transmission, submission of nominations shall be done online.
