What are the requirements for terminal leave? If I resign from my plantilla position, what documents/clearances am I expected to process? Can I resign using two-week notice?

Thank you for using CSC Online Forum!

Please be informed that as a matter of policy, this Commission does not render opinion/ruling on issues that may eventually be a subject of a complaint or appeal before it.

Nevertheless, as to your first query, please find documentary requirements which are enumerated under 5.13 (Terminal Leave Benefits) of the Commission on Audit Circular No. 2012-001 dated June 14, 2012.

As to your second query, pursuant to Section 104 (c), the required clearance from money, property, and work-related accountabilities shall be secured by the official or employee before or immediately after the date of effectivity of resignation.

As to your last query, pertinent also is Section 104 of the same Rule which states that resignation is an act of an official or employee by which he/she voluntarily relinquishes in writing his/her position effective on a specific date which shall not be less than thirty (30) days from the date of such notice or earlier as mutually agreed upon by the employee and the appointing officer/authority.
