Concerned Citizen of the PH created the topic: Lacking Experience Requirement

Good day!

I wish to apply for a regular item with the following qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
2 Years Experience
8 Hours Relevant Training

The degree and training I have satisfy the needed requirements. However, I am lacking 9 months of experience, can I still be considered and given a temporary appointment until such time I get the required experience?

Good day! As a matter of policy, the Commission does not render opinions or rulings on queries that may later on be the subject of a complaint or case especially so if the materials facts are not so stated as in this case. Nonetheless, while it may be true that temporary appointment may be issued to those who lacked one of the qualification standards of a position, still, it bears emphasis that such an appointment is essentially discretionary on the part of the appointing authority. It is his/her prerogative who to appoint. It is also important to note that the agency need to comply with certain requirements before it can issue temporary appointment.
